In 1970 I wanted to be a writer and wondered how I'd start. Since the VA would reimburse me for the payments, I signed up. After one or two lessons I told them I was quitting and they said I owed them over $900. I said bull. They bugged me for a short time but I guess their troubles forced them to ignore me and that was the end of it.

I never did learn to write.
I'm shocked and disillusioned! I had always pictured Bennett Cerf and Max Shulman burning the midnight oil correcting those papers.
