Well, quotation marks just "tossed" into a sentence drives "me" nuts! But, similar to cursive penmanship, there isn't much focus on grammar (especially sentence-diagramming, which none of my kids have ever had to do) in school these days.
OK, it's not grammatical strictly speaking, but what drives me nuts is, "No," she hissed. Also, mixing up Inferred and implied is annoying, because once you learn the difference it would seem to be easy.

I wish ending a sentence with the word AT would go away, but instead it's becoming, horribly, common usage, as is so much ignorant language use. BAH!

I consider myself fairly weak in grammar, so when I do catch one I feel it must really be a dilly and I am online a good bit so I really see a lot!
