Good for Oklahoma. At least Seymour, Texas is famous for the Seymouria, a 250 million-year-old amphibian/reptile from the Permian Period - and Tom Johnson, almost as old, but not famous (sigh).
Great article on Clifton Adams, one of my favorite forgotten writers. I never knew that Ross Thomas was from Oklahoma.
