I remember "The Victim" with Elizabeth Montgomery scaring the bejesus out of me back in the seventies. She drives through a terrible storm to comfort her sister who is trapped in a bad marriage. When she arrives, the sister is nowhere to be found and Montgomery has to spend a dark, stormy night in a house that has no phone or electricity. What we know (but Montgomery doesn't) is that her sister has been murdered and has been stuffed into a wicker basket in the basement. Yikes! I watched it the other day on YouTube and, sadly, it hadn't held up so well.
Also, I'm surprised "That Certain Summer," the first TV movie to address homosexuality in a reasonable way, was not included in the article.

They missed "A Cold Night's Death." (with Robert Culp and Eli Wallach)
It's one of the best that ABC put out.
I hate to admit it but I've seen most of these! I don't remember the one with Cloris Leachman, however, though it sounds hilarious.
Dick Van Dyke was great in that alcoholic movie, which had one of the biggest downer ends ever. It also made excellent use of "Yesterday."

I've seen way too many of them, too, Jeff, but not the one August mentioned. That's one I wish I'd seen.
Only three for me< Duel, Brian's Song, & Tribes.
I've seen those, Randy. All three are good ones.
I saw that one too. Jackie was an aficianado of made-for-TV movies so I've seen a ton of them.
