Without reading the article, I'd say that school starting during the first week of August versus the day after Labor Day is number one. The amount of paperwork parents have to complete and the amount of fees parents have to pay (even in public schools) would be two and three.

You're right about that part, Deb, though in NYC we still start back after Labor Day.
The rest is pretty on target, if possibly a wee bit exaggerated. When did every kid become allergic to peanuts, lactose intolerant and eat only gluten free?
