"Totally brilliant" - THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN? - I don't think so.
I liked THE IRON GIANT. ATTACK THE BLOCK? Sounds interesting but I never heard of it. As for THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN (ditto on the "never heard of it") if it was released to 102 theaters and took in just $83,000 I don't think Clive Barker can put it all on the studio.
But what do I know?
SLITHER was OK but far from "totally brilliant" IMHO.
They do tend to exaggerate the headlines, don't they? I've seen ATTACK THE BLOCK, and I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. Just be sure to turn n the closed captioning if you ever watch it.
I live in one of the few cities where Attack the Block actually played but when I showed the movie in class last year, none of my students had heard of it.
Idiocracy irritated me--although I love both Mike Judge's Beavis & Butthead and Office Space--but my husband and kids love it and quite from it all the time. Also, I'm not a Terry Gilliam unbound fan; when he was working on Monty Python, his work was presented in mercifully short bursts. I find his movies are like long anxiety dreams: you can't wait for them to be over.
I do love OFFICE SPACE so wanted to see this but Jackie is definitely not a fan so will have to watch it when she is elsewhere.
It would hard to find a better line than here was nothing wrong with my name, until I was about 12 years old and that no talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys!
We share the same opinion of Mr. Bolton, obviously.
Jeff-Midnight Meat Train was dumped into $1 seat second run theaters. It never played in first run venues. It is actually a pretty good little horror fil, albeit a bit bloody.

The accents were a bit tough for me. It played in Austin while we were at a convention there, but I didn't go. Caught it later on DVD.

That's sort of the way I felt about BRAZIL, Deb. I like IDIOCRACY, by the way. I feel it's kind of a rip-off of "The Marching Morons," though.

I read the story years ago, so I know it would have to be bloody.
