While there are many good choices there (Honey, Havin' My Baby, Kokomo, Believe, We Built This City) where is Celine Dion? Diana Ross's Ain't No Mountain High Enough?
How do you include Big Girls Don't Cry or The Monster Mash? Weird.
I guess "Season in the Sun" never made it to number one because it should be on this list--which IMHO was written by someone who knows nothing about the seventies. Where is "I Am Woman" or Jeff's all-time fave, "Copacabana"?
Big Girls Don't Cry and We Built This City are fine songs. They needed to include Norman, those novelty skreeches by Mrs. Miller, anything by Tiny Tim, and damn near everything after 1975.

I like those two, myself, but I have to agree that there are some good choices. How did "Honey" ever become a smash?
Well, Dave Barry has certainly made a lot of hay out of it. Also, I remember a Smothers Brothers routine where Tommy pointed out the tree, etc.
