I let the current year books by authors unknown to me stay unread for a couple of years and then see what y'all (and a few, selected others) say about them. Then I read some of the ones sounding most interesting to me. So you all keep busy with you're reading and reviewing of current books 8-)

I must be from the wrong side of town. Not only have I not read any of these, I've never even heard of them.
I had THREATS from the library but had to return it before I got to read it. I have the Bechdel book on hold. She's a twisted genius IMHO.

Surprised Richard Ford's CANADA didn't make the list--but perhaps that's because it's the only "new" books I've read recently.
