Well, I don't know if librarians as a class are better writers than anyone else. However, I can say from what I saw as a naive teen-age page at the Houston Public Library ~ 50 years ago, librarians had enough exposure to eccentrics (from lovable to crazy) and the whole range of human behaviour (sexual & otherwise) among themselves and the "patrons" to give any of them plenty of material for any number of novels or stories!
