Famous Bars (my pov)Nostalgia time: Little Hipp's Bubble Room in San Antonio where I hung out with my Air Force buddies (btw, I wasn't in the Air Force) & Kay's in Houston (still in business I think) where I hung out with my Rice buddies (btw, I didn't go to Rice).
Kay's Lounge, 2324 Bissonnet St, Houston. We always just called it Kay's. Looks like it remains the same grungy, comfy, college student friendly, old type bar it was back in the day.

I've heard of the Bubble Room, but not Kay's.
