SEVEN DAYS IN MAY is another one. In the novel it is stated that it's set in the (then) near future, and I recall it is possible to calculate it to around 1974 - the year of Watergate and also the same era when this kind of movie was at its most popular. Now, that's prophetic.

I would have hated Winter Kills based on a Richarde Condon novel.
I would have added Winter Kills. Hated? Where did that come from?
I've never seen that movie. Did read the book, though.
