George Kelley is a frequent commenter on this blog, and of course has his own blog that many of you follow. He's right on the money in this little essay.
I guess I did it all wrong. I didn't go to college to get a job (I already knew I wanted to be a cop)I went to get an education, and I paid my way as I went. In those years from '68 to '72 I learned how to really read a book, how to look at a painting, watch a movie, how to make a respectable argument and write a clear sentence, things thst have brought me rewards ever since.

I might be called on the Dean's carpet tomorrow, Jeff. But, really, what can he do?
