I liked the books when I was younger, but soon tired of them after Pendleton retired as the writer and especially after I caught Peter Leslie rewriting someof his old Man From U.N.C.L.E. novels into Bolans.

I used to devour these when in 6th and 7th grades. I would hunt down used ones at a book store near campus in Champaign, IL. It took me a year or more before I found the very first one in the series.

I was quite happy with my find and spoke about it to my friends at school who were unimpressed.

I hope you found some friends with better literary taste.

I read lots of these in high school. The first one was very good, and the third, DEATH SQUAD, was probably the best.

I loved the first dozen in this series. And, I dimly remember your original review!
