Yesterday I mentioned a visit to my hometown. While I was taking photos of the downtown area, I noticed a lot of people gathered down by the railroad tracks. I went down to see what was up and discovered that a steam locomotive was headed down the tracks. I stayed and snapped this picture.On Tuesday a friend and train buff called me to ask if I wanted to see the train as it came through Alvin, so I took another picture as the train neared the depot.

Very cool indeed. My brother is a train buff, and would have loved to see this. As the man said, "they don't make 'em like that any more!"
