'Bazooka Joe' movie planned | TV, movie and music news | Movies | EW.com: "Studio exec Michael Eisner has hired screenwriter Mark Hammer for a planned feature-film adaptation of the Bazooka Joe bubblegum comic strip, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Hammer is a new writer who graduated from Chapman University with a degree in film this past weekend."
How are they going to gloss over that Bazooka Joe's creator, Wesley Morse, allegedly used to illustrate "Tijuana Bibles"? That has to come up in SOME interview....
Anyone remember Robert Crumb's take on Bazooka Joe? The panel with the word balloon that says, "That's why they call me Pud" would certainly spice up any movie.
Key line: "Hammer is a new writer who graduated from Chapman University with a degree in film this past weekend."I think it's time for Michael Eisner to check his meds.

This movie might turn out to be better than I thought.
