Westerns don't get any better than this.
I saw this in the theater when it first came out. I've seen it several times since, and I still get misty when I think about that final scene between Scott and McCrea.
Peckinpah never better than here.
Agreed all around. If I had the opportunity to choose the method of my demise, I'd go out just like Randy and Joel.
I often call this my favorite Western of all time. I just marvel at the basic goodness, humility, and devotion to duty that Joel McCrea portrays here.
