I liked Giamatti in the Howard Stern movie years ago, but mostly he seems to be an ok actor who's overrated by the critics. Maybe it's schlubby critics who identify with Giamatti's schlubby characters who sometimes, inexplicably, end up with hot girlfriends (like Virginia Madsen in SIDEWAYS). I have the same reaction to Philip Seymour Hoffman (substitute Marisa Tomei in BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD). I don't see Lansdale mentioned in the interview. This may be a case of overdoing a clever one-shot idea.

As I understand it, Joe wouldn't be involved in the sequel. Maybe because he believes your last sentence.
Phooey to you both. I DEEPLY hope for BUBBA NOSFERATU to appear.
