I guess George would be fine but he would not be my first choice. I'm still thinking of his Bruce Wayne portrayal where he came across as just playing himself.
Consider the script he was facing there, though, David.

But is pairing him with Johnny Depp a good idea?
George Clooney and Johnny Depp? Unthinkable.
This is the dumbest idea since the reformulation of Coca-Cola. On the plus side Clooney will be wearing a mask so that the full creepiness of his vapid visage wont be so apparent.
