Einstein's 23 Biggest Mistakes | Einstein | DISCOVER Magazine: "The man with the big ideas wasn't so good with the details. In Einstein's Mistakes: The Human Failings of Genius (W.W. Norton, $24.95, excerpted below), Hans Ohanian writes that Albert often let his intuition overrule flawed proofs and shaky math. Maybe you'll feel a little better about your own flubs."

I think he was still smarter than I am (probably).
I've got my power back on here (Houston) and no significant damage. Hope y'all get back to normal pretty soon.
And don't worry about the world going to Hell in a handbasket. Think about the positives. We live longer, healthier lives. We have greater access to all kinds of entertainment from today and the past - so much old music and radio shows on CD, so many book re-issues (and eBay to find OOP titles), old movies & TV shows on DVD. We have convenient, inexpensive ways to communicate with loved ones just about anywhere. And our loved ones are what matters most in life, regardless of whatever else is going on in the world.
And more people are writing good fiction that brings a little happiness to others. For instance, I just finished a collection of stories "The Nighttime is the Right Time" by some Alvin writer (right in my own backyard!), and enjoyed it very much indeed.

Glad you liked the book, Thomas. I hope I'll be around to write a few more.
