It doesn't surprise me at all. I think the government was waiting for an excuse to go super Big Brother on us. They've been inching that way for years, taking away little bits of our privacy and civil liberties at a time. It's both parties. They are the two sides of the same coin. Neither are out there really to protect our liberty and freedom. They are out for their own gain. They just pay us lip service.
