It took inanity to a consistent level that wasn't quite as in one's face as that of THREE'S COMPANY, but instead was glabrously smooth in the manner of the Disney Channel kiddie sitcoms/kidcoms to follow. It and many of its brethren, but it more than nearly any other.

True, and I really suck at TV trivia of that era, too.
Anyone who can watch Charlotte Rae for ten consecutive seconds has the stones of a statue. I never watched that show either.
