And the Froggie, Never Flitting, Still is Sitting. . .

. . . still is sitting . . . . Faithful readers may recall this photo, posted back on June 18. I thought the frog would be either gone or dead within hours. But he's still there, as you can see in this snapshot.

Time for some Alvin Lovecraftian pastiche.

The frog is so small that it would have to be a miniature pastiche.

With HPL pastiches, that's usually the best kind.

It does not look like the frog has moved in over a month.

Unknown said...

Nevertheless, he does move. Sometimes he spends the whole day out of sight.

Sure it's not an alien hiding out from NASA, Bill?

Houston, we have a problem.

I believe a frog in a flower pot means that the person that lives there is tetched. No, wait. I think it's a big spider web outside the window means that.

The snake out back under my porch would like to very much meet your frog.

A frog's tongue was used in the Middle Ages to place over a lover's heart and make her answer truthfully.

Frogs are thought to be able to take sickness away.

Frogs symbolize health, honesty, and purification.

That would have to be a very small snake if he'd be interested in this frog.

That frog is so awesome-I'm really a little jealous that it's living at your place and not mine. We just get normal ol' toads here.

Normal toads are the usual here. I have no idea where this little fellow came from.

Frogs like this ae able to climb walls with they little suction-cup footies. In fact, Stan Leee was originally going to create "Frog Man" but went with Spider-Man instead. There's also rumor that a variation of Iron Man was to be a metal-clad hero who could trap villains by means of interlocking arms that zipped together, but the character name "the Fly" was alrady taken.

This little rascal is pretty close to superhero territory. I still haven't figured out how he got in the hanging basket, but there he is. And he must be finding something to eat or he wouldn't still be around after more than a month.
