Trip proposed to centre of Earth via Arctic hole: "A U.S. scientist and a small band of believers are planning a journey to the Canadian Arctic for what they call 'the greatest geological expedition in history.'
Are they searching for Arctic oil reserves? Documenting evidence of climate change?
Not quite. They're looking for a fog-shrouded hole in the Arctic Ocean that leads -- they say -- to the centre of the Earth, where an unknown civilization is lurking inside the hollow core of the planet."

I bet there'll be a Starbucks there.
Jerry House
Or several.
I sure hope that along the way, they don't run over Pat Boone and the duck.
Ah, what a great movie!
One of Edgar Rice Burroughs less well known creations - after Tarzan - David Innes who found the underground civilization of Pellucidar. In fact in 1929 Tarzan visited Pellucidar, the only time Burroughs crossed Tarzan over with one of his other characters.
Yes, Tarzan got there before Pat Boone!
That Starbucks comment elicited a loud laugh.
