We're in the Grand Hyatt right next to Grand Central Station, paying an ungodly sum for a night's stay. And guess what. The only Internet access is through the TV set with a keyboard that's almost as sensitive as an anvil. And it costs extra. In a La Quinta you get free wireless. Here in the Big Apple you're sort of back in the dark ages. Sad, when you think about it.
The good news is that we're very happy with our flight on JetBlue. Very comfortable seat, lots more legroom than on any flight we've taken lately, and even satellite TV at every seat.
This Internet deal really sucks, though.

Jet Blue's gotten a lot of grief lately, but I remain a big fan. The Internet deal does truly suck.
Have fun in the big town, Bill. Drop my name if you get into trouble.
Thanks, Vince. Maybe I'll mention your name when I complain about the Internet service.
What a cyber-pain in the neck. Have a good time anyway.
That's our motto, Bill (well, one of them):
"This is New York - nothing's free.
Could be worse. You could be in Philadelphia.
Or Detroit.
Oh, sorry, I forgot. Nobody ever comes here.
I went to Detroit once - ONCE!
Bill, Bill, Bill. You're in the greatest city in the world and you're worrying about an internet connection? Get up, get out, do the town. Have your picture taken with that cowboy who stands on the corner in his man panties and caterwauls country music. When you get back I want a report that rivals THE $100 MISUNDERSTANDING at the vry least.
We got out and about, as you can read above, but the Meyersons neglected to show us the Naked Cowboy. Can you believe it?
I have also visited Detroit, and have lived in Philadelphia, and now live in New Jersey. Think of my karmic transgression at some past time.
