With an unfortunate example of modern "design" intervening in the middle. Really, my four year old nephew creates something like that every time he plays with his MegaBlocks.
Just remember,it could have been worse. "They" wanted to tear down Grand Central, just like "they" torn down the original Penn Station. Thanks be that it didn't happen.

Yes, the modern building is in the way. A photoshop expert could probably fix that.
