Thanks to Juri Nummelin for sending along this copy of Isku, which contains a story of mine that he translated into Finnish. Note other writers whose names appear on the cover, too.
I'm in another one of Juri's publications, ASSA (Ace). Disconcerting, isn't it, to open up a magazine and see your name over a story that looks like it's written in Elvish?
I hadn't seen this yet. Nice cover. It's interesting to look at translations and see the things that just won't translate. Most days I have enough trouble with English, let alone Finnish or any other language.

It's amazing to me that Juri writes so well in English. I'd never be able to learn a word of Finnish.
This is so cool Bill.
Thanks. I'm building my worldwide readership.

I always knew you'd be good to the Finnish.
James, your copy should be on its way. Hey Bill, it's very cool to have you!
About learning Finnish: if you were taught it for ten years at school, you'd also speak and write it fluently.
