Why are they crediting the original artist? They should be crediting the composers! As for Janis Joplin’s version of “Summertime” being the most popular—they obviously don’t know Billy Stewart absolutely crushed it!

And I agree that the credit for the originals ought to go to the composer/lyricist, not the first recorded/performed version.
