I know only two people who like this movie, . . .

. . . and one of them is me.

Are you counting my husband as one of the two? If not, you know three people who love this movie.

I found it unwatchable.

Jackie is reading a book - perhaps you'd call it a paranormal romance - where the heroine of the book is telling a guy she just watched (again) the "greatest movie ever made." When he asks if she means CITIZEN KANE, she says, no, that's OK, but the greatest movie ever is BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS. It "has it all" - sex, rock & roll, and very, very bad acting.

The other person I know who likes it is Vince Keenan. Jeff doesn't sound like a possible convert.

Oh, add me to the list. I've watched it a dozen times, at least, and bought a copy twice. I think the madness is spot-on.

Soon there'll be enough of us to gang up on Jeff.

Kitty loves it. I hate it.

The list of fans continues to grow!

I don't think it was as good as it could have been, but I enjoyed it, and both my cousin and my younger brother count it among their favorites. And for me, "American Panascope" is mental shorthand for the worst kind of job in the known universe.

With a handful of entertaining character actor turns (Ossie Davis and Lloyd Bridges are wonderful) I too enjoy this movie a great deal. I re-watched it again in the cold of last winter.

Soon we'll be an army!

Need to rewatch it. I don't remember much about except that I didn't like it much.

I remember generally liking it, though I thought some of the whimsy was a bit strained, such as the island natives' predilection for orange soda.

Thinking about it, I just realized the idea of the orange soda-drinking natives could've been a sly reference to THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY. If it was, I like the movie even more now.

You can add me to the list. I thought it quirky and wonderful!
By the way, reading these comments somehow brought "Alice's Restaurant" to mind. Especially the part: "Can you imagine? Fifty people a day walking in, singing Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They'll think it's a movement!"

Maybe we should form a movement!

I dunno. At our age having a movement means a whole 'nother thing! lol
