I'm back from London and this was a nice article for me. I walked over the bridges several times and along the south shore. Most of the time, the tide was high, but when it was low there was lots of areas that intrigued me. Unfortunately, all of the steps down to the tidal flats were behind locked gates. I was curious to see a few people out there; one family group of about five, and an older man, poking through the rubble. I wondered how they got there, and I guess you have to have the permit the article mentions. When the tide comes back in, the water flow is fast, and I'd hate to be caught out there when the tide turned.
