Those are amazing. Not all that long ago (and my mother may have visited some of the places in Texas and New Mexico--she had an uncle in Texas and her family traveled there fairly often). But very, very different from today...or even from the 1960s, when I would have been about the age my mother would have been when those were taken.

Some of those scenes are actually pretty familiar to me.
