Even before I ever knew who Robert McGinnis was, I loved his covers for the Carter Brown and Mike Shayne books. You couldn't revolve a paperback spinner rack in those days without seeing them.
I liked this McGinnis cover when I first saw it which motivated me to buy the book. I was just a kid so the woman cashier who took my money gave me a long, hard look.
