This is the first one of these I've read in a long while where the author didn't demure and say, oh, I'd rather not say" when asked to name an overrated book. She kinda lost me by dissing MIDDLEMARCH, but I was glad to see Franzen called out. He strikes me as a pompous ------ whose books aren't as great as he's convinced they are.

I tried to read THE CORRECTIONS. Couldn't get past page 50. Did read MIDDLEMARCH, though. Long but worth it.
