I remember reading about this guy a few years back. A quintessential American story: complete reinvention.
I remember seeing and hearing him on television, and my mom may even have had an album. I recognized the name right away, but the story amazed me. I kinda which the fantasy had been left alone.
As far back as 1994 people also saw a glimpse (it really was him) with Korla Pandit in ED WOOD! - SB
