I don't agree, I don't even consider many of them to be Civil War films at all. Where is Gone With the Wind? Calling Friendly Persuasion a comedy is ridiculous. And the best, though some would say it's not a "movie" is Ken Burns' The Civil War.

GWTW is on the list at #2 - did you click through to the second page? Glory is at #1, and I would agree with that. Huston's The Red Badge of Courage is underrated. I certainly agree that Ken Burns' The Civil War ought to have been on the list, and I am quite surprised by the omission of The Beguiled. Other omissions: Dance with Wolves; The Outlaw Josey Wales; Buster Keaton's The General; the short An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge; the TV movie Andersonville.

Agree with Patrick on The Beguiled, Outlaw Josey Wales, Andersonville, and The General.
Never liked How the West Was Won.
Gettysburg had some good points but had a hard time getting past all the obviously fake facial air.
