Examiner.com: Boyd Magers at the Western Clippings website has reported that Robert Horton, an actor best known for the western TV series “Wagon Train” has died. He was 91 years old.
I'm not sure the timelines for the two series can back me up, but I've always believed the Man called Shenandoah was Horton's character from 'Wagon Train'. But then again, not much attention to such consistency in TV series at the time. The 'Wagon Train' timeline was all over the place.

I've always said that "A Man Called Shenandoah" was one of the most under-rated TV Western shows ever aired.
I have his Marx character figure from the Wagon Train playset.
