Bill, do you know if Raymond Mason was a pseudonym? He wrote 3 stories for AHMM in 57-58 and had 5 paperback originals that I've found from 54-62, 4 of them for Gold Medal. Titles include And Two Shall Meet, Forever is Today, Love After Five.
I gather Woodford's real name was Woolfolk, if the Mason query is relevant to JW. PLAYBOY always did aspire to sophistication...if a kind of shallow, flashy sophistication.

I think that when Playboy says your writing has "changed the reading habits of the nation," you might want to consider a new career.
Jack, as far as I know Raymond Mason is the writer's real name. I've never heard anything to the contrary.
Thanks!
Jack was an underrated writer. I enjoyed his books on the writing process.
