I already felt old, but no, this didn't help.

I think we actually did that Hands Across America thing at the South Street Seaport.

I'm sure all if us remember what we were doing when the Challenger exploded.

I remember where I was when Challenger went, but for me the big one here is the 386 chip. That was a huge advance for my PC, and I could run Windows and a lot of software that I had wanted but didn't have the power for. Next was the 486, really a lot better, and we were off to the computer races.

I remember buying my first computer with a 286 chip and thinking that I was living in the future.

I remember most of that as if it were yesterday. Graceland is an album I still play at least once a month. The opening track ("The Boy in the Bubble") and the closing ("The Myth of Fingerprints") are great songs, and not mentioned often when people refer to the album. Of course, the whole thing is great.

"That was Your Mother" has a great zudeco sound.

I agree, Don. A fine album, one of my favorites.

My husband, upon seeing the entire list, said he couldn't believe that Bill Buckner's missed play, where the ball went right through his legs, in the 1986 World Series was not on that list.

Good point, Deb.

It's funny. Just before that play, when they brought Bob Stanley in to pitch to Mookie Wilson, I said, "He's going to throw a wild pitch."

I swear I am not making this up.
