I read a bunch of Carter Brown books in the late 1960s (there was a used book store I would pass on my way home from a summer job, with a bunch of them, mostly for $0.10 as I recall). Quick, fun reads, although mostly (as my increasingly unreliable memory tells me) hard to take seriously as mysteries.
