Fabulous! Oh, they don't call me DiscoDollyDeb for nothin'!
That trip down memory lane also brought to mind another fixture of 1960s/1970s late night shows, Monti Rock III (who later had a disco hit with "Get Dancin'" as Disco Tex and His Sex-O-Lets). Here's a little peek at the kind of career no one has anymore:
I saw the wedding, too, Jeff. Wouldn't have missed it for the world. I read a long article/interview with Mr. Tim long ago, and he was a sharp guy. He knew as much about the history of pop music in the U.S. as just about anybody.
Deb, thanks for reminding me of Monti Rock III. Hadn't thought of him in many a year.

I can't believe I never saw this before. The real eye opener (if you go to the youtube link) is Mr. Tim doing "Earth Angel" (mostly) straight.
And yes, I watched his wedding to Miss Vicki live on the Tonight Show on December 17, 1969.
*gets back on the geezer bus*

Needless to say, Monti was featured in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
He currently resides and performs in Las Vegas.
Monti is now an ordained minister, according to his Web site.
Of course he is.

Deb's link.
But this is my favorite. Check out the "dancers" in the Get Dancin' video.
I expect to see "Get Dancin'" as a Song of the Day soon!
