Lost photo of Jesse James, assassin Robert Ford is found, authenticated Lois Gibson, forensic artist and analyst for the Houston Police Department, claims Wednesday she'd identified an image of one of America's most notorious outlaws, Jesse James.
Update: Here's a link to someone who doesn't believe a word of it.

I feel as if I should add a few lines from "Kentucky Woman," considering the way the morning has gone so far.
Not Jesse James. First Lois Gibson "authenticates" a photograph of Billy the Kid owned by a man who has been presenting photos from his family collection as people they are not for years; and now she authenticates a Jesse James photo? Apparently if two people look even the slightest bit a-like Gibson will proclaim they are the same person.
Without provenance, it's just an old photo.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the photo. I'll update if anything comes of it.
Here's one take on it from someone who knows a lot more about Jesse James than I do.
Oops. No link.
Sorry, here is is: http://ericjames.org/wordpress/
Actually I should put the link directly to the article since I'm sure that won't stay at the top of the page forever: http://ericjames.org/wordpress/2015/10/02/lost-jesse-james-bob-ford-photos-not-lost-not-authenticated/
Thanks, Corey. I'm moving that link up to the original post.
