I hate to quibble, but some of those songs don't seem to be related to summer as such. I'd go with "Girl Don't Tell Me" which is about a couple having a summer fling.
Plus, re inclusion of "Kokomo": to me the Beach Boys with Brian Wilson are a completely different group from the Beach Boys without Brian Wilson. Everything is different. (It's like the Doobie Brothers with/without Michael McDonald.)

First of all, remove "Kokomo." I've always hated it, plus it has one of the worst rhymes in recorded history, that makes me cringe every time:
"Port au Prince,
I wanna catch a glimpse"
Shouldn't that be "glince"?
The rest of the list is fine.

I agree, Deb.
I was going to kvetch about Kokomo, too. You could substitute Sail On, Sailor.
A singular "Bahama" has bothered others about that song's lyrics. "C'mon, pretty mamas" would've just been decadent, I guess.
The list might as well've included "Johnny Carson".
Fun, fun, fun till till my daddy took the T-Bird away! Can't quibble with the list for sheer listening enjoyment. Most of their bests...
