Probably the first Asimov I ever read also. It and The Naked Sun remains on bookshelf in the original SFBC editions from way back when, though I read them first in paperback or magazine format. I had duplicate copies that I gave to a relative to get them hooked on SF too.
Loved this as a kid but when I tried to read it a couple years back I couldn't finish it. The scenes with his wife & son are unbelievably bad. Full of dialogue like Golly gee Pop and geewhiz.

This was the first Isaac Asimov SF novel I ever read. But, it wasn't the last.

I haven't read it since I was a kid, and it's probably best that I don't try. I like the memories I have of it.
