In case you were wondering, the temperature at my house is 80 degrees right now. The high tomorrow is supposed to be 45 degrees. And that's what winter is like in Texas.
This winter has been nuts pretty much everywhere. Thursday we set several records in South Florida for the lowest temperatures. Where we are it was 38, breaking the record of 42 set in 1958. Today it is in the 80s.
New York broke a 50 year old record of 7 by dropping to 2. Today is in the 40s and tomorrow will be back to single digits.
Today on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, we're in the 70s. In fact, as much as I hate doing it in February, I had to run the a/c. However, we're dipping back down to the 30s as the week progresses.
It looked like a perfect Spring day outside in sunny Tacoma, but when I took Molly for a walk it was chilly enough to require a jacket. All in all, a very mild winter.
It's only about 24 here this morning and not much wind, so not really that cold, but there's a layer of ice and sleet on everything. All the schools in the area are closed.
We only had two days of 80+ the first month we were down here and more days in the 60s than normal, but it is back up to the 80s now and will be all week.
New York, not so good, though nothing like George is getting or Boston.

I blame Al Gore.

It's 75 at my house now in Katy but the wind is shifting to the north. My bird feeders are full.
It is 11 right now. High of 12 tomorrow. I live in Pontiac, about 15 miles north of Detroit. Supposed to be cold all week.
High in Minneapolis today. 0. That is zero. I am not complaining. I could live in Boston.

On the flip side, summer in Houston.
We're sitting here waiting for Icemageddon.

In Santa Barbara it is like... 70's. although we had a bit of rain today. We could use more. Are you on the Gulf Coast?
I'm about 25 miles from Galveston. It's 45 this morning, as predicted, and it should be even colder tonight and tomorrow.
We woke up to -3 degrees (wind chill -30). Most of the public schools have closed. We live in Siberia-like conditions this winter!
It was -13 when I checked the weather an hour ago. I started the car 10 minutes earlier than usual.

The colder stuff hasn't reached us yet, and no rain, either. We could use the rain.

Here in North Texas we have a temp of 27 with streets covered in sleet and mess.
