R.I.P. Mr. Spock. You really did livekng and prosper.
A sad day for the original generation of STAR TREK fans. My wife Barb and I saw him in a number of plays (including SHERLOCK HOLMES) and I was lucky enough to meet him several times when we were both working on comic book projects. Most memorably, Barb and I went to a political rally (McGovern) where he spoke eloquently.
My brother and I were texting about him after we heard the news and we figured his character in the 'Columbo' episode had to be the most incompetent killer ever on that show. He did kill two people, but not his intended target.
I posted six of my favorite one-shot TV characters of his on my TV blog and that Dr. Mayfield topped the list. I also included two TV movies I'd recommend - "Assault On The Wayne" & "The Alpha Caper".

I got a kick out of seeing him in a Rocketman serial, ZOMBIES OF THE STRATOSPHERE, I believe.
This is one of those icons you'll always remember. Like August 16, 1977. Don't know that the date will stick as much, but this is a big loss.
Cigarettes kill.
RIP
Jeff
I'm sorry to hear this. I just saw an interview with him and he was an engaging subject.
Came home to this horrible news.
Jeff the guy was 83... which seems like a ripe old age except to guys who are 82.
"Mr. Spock" was an iconic character. I thought it was great that Leonard Nimoy was included in the recent "reboot" movies of STAR TREK.

Never saw The Alpha Caper, but I remember liking Assault on the Wayne a good bit.
