Parrish was, I believe, the last screen appearance of Claudette Colbert. I don't about the book, but the movie's pretty meh.
It was big when it came out because of the leads, one of whom doesn't get mentioned at all on the jacket. Maybe Claudette Colbert something in her contract. But it's not Claudette who got her photo on the front and back.
Is the young girl the (recently deceased) Donna Douglas, the actress who played Ellie May Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies?
Nope, Connie Stevens. The outfit fooled me. And the do.
Notice that Connie gets no credit on either cover even though she's pictured. I wonder why.
Troy Donahue kissing a pretty girl and enjoying it. Now THAT'S acting.
