Classy player and a classy guy.

Major bummer. He was one of the icons of my youth, along with Willie Mays and a handful of others. He won back to back MVP Awards in 1958 and 1959, soon after I began following baseball in earnest.

RIP Mr. Cub

I have a friend from Chicago who grew up watching him. I feel like I should send him a condolence card.
