Any list which omits CARNIVAL OF SOULS and QUATERMASS AND THE PIT in favor of BLOOD FEAST and THE BIRDS (definitely read the source novella instead) is stupid to that extent, but yet another counterproposal to Patti's stubborn insistence that the '60s were somehow a Terrible decade for film. Bergman and Kubrick alone were doing enough to elevate the form...Bava and the kitchen-sinkers gilded the enterprise...
And while NIGHT OF THE EAGLE isn't a perfect adaptation of CONJURE WIFE, I'd suggest it might just squeak (or caw) by IT! as an item to see in its decade...
