That was my impression - that only "all hat" was uniquely Texican. Though Johnny Miller used it a couple weeks ago at the US Open (golf, folks), referring to Ricky Fowler. I suspect most of the audience was baffled. I also suspect that Johnny (Californian) picked it up from Dan Jenkins. A.S.

Didn't that one originate in New York?
It probably did. In Texas they shoot first and then give the warning.
A friend from North Carolina said that except for the "all hat" one these are pretty much all "Southern" sayings rather than Texas per se.

Dan Jenkins' memoir is well worth reading if you're a golfer or a Texan.
