Instead, allow me to recommend this terrific and underseen picture from McDonagh’s brother, John Michael McDonagh, which shares not just Bruges’ Irish settings...
I hate to tell him but Bruges is in Belgium, not Ireland.
I've seen nearly all...most remarkably wrong about the sf films, perhaps unsurprisingly (SUNSHINE is not an intelligent film, but is a very pretty one with a couple of nice touches, and does frankly very much verge on space opera; MOON is slick, but has relatively little else to recommend it, though Sam Rockwell is good in it).

There are some good choices - Matador, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Whip It for three.

So you're telling me that the Blarney Stone isn't in Bruges?
Seen most of these. the only one I didn't like was Whip It.
