Note the quotation from the ever-kind Sturgeon (who wrote the NATIONAL REVIEW review of FARNHHAM'S FREEHOLD the paperbackers were happy to have) that takes into account Robert F. Young's crotchet about enormous figures (all or essentially all women, as I've mentioned, in Young's case).

We met Sturgeon in about 1979, and Judy thought he was the kindest man she ever met.

Apparently not easy to live with, but those who were not family tended to find him utterly charming.
